Educational Intensives are quarterly virtual deep-dive sessions focused on the organizational side of workplace wellbeing. Each session explores what employers, leaders, and practitioners can do to strengthen systems, policies, and cultures that support people at work. Led by trusted experts and grounded in evidence, Educational Intensives translate research, lived experience, and real-world practice into practical strategies participants can apply immediately. These sessions are designed for people responsible for shaping how work is designed, led, and experienced.
Session Title: From Surveys to Strategy: Making Data Work
This session explores how organizations can use evidence-based surveys and wellbeing data to better understand how work impacts people’s lives, both on and off the job. Participants will learn how to choose the right tools, make sense of results, and use data to guide practical decisions that support healthier, more effective workplaces.
Featured Presenter: Susan Elizabeth Peters, PhD
Susan Elizabeth Peters, PhD, is Associate Director of the Center for Work, Health, and Well-being and a Senior Research Scientist at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. With over 20 years of experience in occupational health and employee wellbeing, her work focuses on how workplace policies, leadership practices, and working conditions shape worker health and organizational outcomes.
Dr. Peters leads the Thriving Workers, Thriving Workplaces initiative and is the developer of the Thriving from Work framework and questionnaire, widely used to measure employee wellbeing and organizational effectiveness. Her research emphasizes practical, evidence-based strategies that support mental health, safety, and performance across diverse industries. Trained as an occupational therapist, she brings a systems-level, real-world perspective to helping organizations build healthier, more resilient workplaces.
